Hey Jen — thank you so much for this thorough and engaging article! I love all the quotes and perspectives.

I’m not too surprised. I’m 27 years old and just starting to realize how pervasive patriarchy is. I call myself a feminist but I love the opportunity to clarify — it’s not about having “equal rights” to do all the things men do. I’ve already done most of that (career wise). It’s more about honoring feminine values equally, I.e. feelings, vulnerability, compassion, empathy, and love. Not just seeing these qualities as nice to have.

My favorite books so far: “Cassandra Speaks,” “Addiction to Perfection,” and “Circle of Stones.” My approach for healing and promoting feminism has been reading, writing, connecting with my body, and honoring my feelings and needs. At the core, feminism is about recognizing that we’re all human, and things like gender or race doesn’t make someone “better” or more “worthy” of anything.

Thank you so much for the work that you’re doing to promote awareness!! Much love ❤️
